Growing up my parents were big fans of southern gospel music.  If you know anything about me, you know that it was a dream of mine to travel and sing in a group.  God showed me that was not in His plan and called me home after a move to Nashville to pursue that dream.   The problem with that dream was it was MINE.  Not HIS!  How many times in our lives do we follow the wrong path thinking it’s God’s will only to find out He has a different plan for you.  Let’s look at this ugly situation we are in now…Quarantine and not able to worship corporately with our fellow believers.  If it was my will, we would be at church hugging every person that walks in that door!  🙂  However, God has plans for us to “be still and know that He is God!”  That looks different for each of us but one thing is for sure….we are in a place where we can only look to Him right now.  We are isolated from the world and need to put down our phones, TVs, computers, etc., and spend time with the One True God that can and will bring us through this pandemic! (I know, that’s sounds hypocritical since I am asking you to use your phone for worship, but it still needs done)  Grab that bible that is collecting dust!  READ IT!  God will show you more comfort than anything else!  He is there to wrap His Arms around you and show you courage to make it through.  The bible tells us not to Fear!  He is with you always!  May your worship today be filled with love, joy, and God’s Grace!!

Here are a few songs that are touching me right now.  I have had many opportunities to be in moments of worship that raised the hair on my arms and just filled me with such a joy and presence of the Lord.  I can only imagine the experience that took place in these recordings.  Not all styles of music is loved by all.  So, take it as you like.  I will try to send several types of worship styles over the coming weeks!  🙂
