Alive Student Conference

December 29 – 31, 2025

The Alive Student Conference is a winter recharge that takes place every year during the last week of December. Students from around the state gather together at the DoubleTree Hotel in Chesterfield, Missouri for fellowship, fun, worship, music, preaching, and games.

Student Session Speaker

Mike Strong is lead church planter and pastor at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC). He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. He and his family moved to North Minneapolis in December of 2012. His desire was to live with those who had been pushed to the margins of society in Minneapolis. His hope is to share the message of Good News: God kept His promises to send a savior for all who are trapped in sin and place their faith in Him, Jesus Christ, who has died in our place, rose from the dead, is alive and in charge of everything that exists today, and is working all things out in accordance with His perfect plan! This message brings the hope, healing, and rest our weary soul’s hunger for each day.

Mike’s passion is to see a return to biblical discipleship that offers all who desire to devote themselves to Christ and His Word the opportunity to be equipped in a missional context (learning on the job). He has a passion to see true joy and peace fill the hearts of those who hunger for it. He desires to see the people of North Minneapolis sent to fill the world with the transformational message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Worship Leaders

Our worship team for this year’s Alive Conference will be The Central Collective! The Central Collective is a gospel-centered worship band in central Arkansas. They met at Central Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. After playing as a group for a year, they realized the gifts God had blessed them with as well as the heart they had for leading people in worship and started The Central Collective.
