The Bethel Approach
January 3, 2021
Today Pastor Ben Kingston encourages us with the Bethel Approach to help us focus on the goals and life accomplishments that enhance our personal relationship with God, our personal responsibility towards the Gospel, personal reliability upon God’s word to righteousness, and personal obligation to God’s people.
The Bethel Approach
Bethel to the world – Knowing Christ; Living Christ
Bethel to Bethel – Knowing our name; Living our name
Bethel : “House of God” – To have a personal
relationship with God.
Missionary: You are a self-support
Missionary to Franklin County
Baptist: Know & live the distinctives
of what it means to be a Christian.
Church: We have responsibilities to
one another & to our community.
Questions for reflection:
- Am I as close to Christ as I can spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically be?
- Do I have a process in place that will facilitate this?
- Do I have a plan to reach my world to Christ?
- Am I asking God for that? If not, why not?
- Am I a disciple? Can I say that I have been taught whatsoever He has commanded?
- Will I submit to that? If not, why not?
- Do I have a circle in this church for the purpose of encouraging and caring for them?
- Am I taking the growth and health of this church as my personal responsibility?
- Do I like the Lord or do I love the Lord?
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. “
John 15:5 NKJV
Let’s take Christ to our world with the Bethel Approach.
